We collected data from a research survey using open-ended questions and analyzed the data using a qualitative data analysis method called Steps for Coding and Theorization（ SCAT）.The results indicated that learning aspects from the experience of volunteer activity for mental health care were“ Learning from the relationship with residents at disaster recovery public housings,”“ Learning from the relationship with other volunteer staff,” and “Inner change/growth.” Mutual interaction and enhancement were observed in these aspects.
