Secondly, to analyze the differences in competencies according to the clinical ladder which represents the nursing practice competency level. Valid responses were obtained from 193 nursing employees, and the competency identified as being most necessary to further promote interprofessional collaboration was “teamwork”, which the nursing professions themselves recognized as a competency strength they possessed. However, the results for competencies such as“ leadership”“, developing others” and“ directiveness” which were identified as the second and subsequent necessary competencies, were perceived as being weak in strength. Differences were observed at different levels of the clinical ladder, and, in particular, the“ relationship-building” competency was considered to have developed as a job adaptation through repeated nursing practice. It was suggested that it would be necessary to strengthen the “leadership” competency in order to further promote interprofessional collaboration in the future and to fulfill leadership
