In the present study, the structural properties of ad hoc networks that affect communication characteristics were investigated using analytical methods and simulations. First, we showed that the cluster coefficient is independent of both the node density and the number of degree of nodes in ad hoc networks. Second, we derive the degree correlation between nodes that have a positive correlation strongly depending on the cluster coefficient, in an exact form without a mean field approximation, which has been used in previous studies. Furthermore, the average degree number of nearest neighbor nodes(one-hop nodes from an arbitrary node)and the number of two hop nodes from arbitrary nodes were derived analytically.
