As a result of using the Shirai (1997) sentence completion method to survey foreign students, they were found to have the positive present directed orientation, and a significant difference was confirmed when compared to the results of the Shirai\u0027s survey of Japanese students in terms of time attitude - \"regrets / disinterest\" in the past and \"hope\" \"realization of goals\" for the future. Sonoda (2003) has shown that present directed orientation is strongly related to sense of fulfillment and self-efficacy. And Mizokami (2008, 2010) has shown that consent from others is vital to the process of self-formation during adolescence, and has indicated that in recent years Japanese university students have not been conducting a sufficient amount of self-developing activities through interaction with others. From these points, it is suggested that foreign students came to Japan to reset their negative past, tried themselves to get the consent from others in their life of Japan, and made their self-efficacy higher.
